Michael Cline, Co-Founder of Fandango, Dies at 64

Michael Cline, the finance executive and entrepreneur who co-founded the movie ticketing site Fandango, died on Wednesday at the age of 64. The New York Times reported that Cline plunged to his death from the Kimberly Hotel in Manhattan.

Cline was born in New York City in 1960. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Business School. After working as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, Cline co-founded Fandango in 1995. Fandango quickly became one of the leading online ticketing companies, and it was acquired by Comcast in 2007 for $345 million.

After leaving Fandango, Cline founded several other companies, including the private equity firm Cline Group and the real estate development company Cline Homes. He was also a founding investor and former chairman of the online ticketing company StubHub.

Cline is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and six children. He will be remembered as a pioneer in the online ticketing industry and a successful entrepreneur.
