Heather Deen Locklear is an American actress and producer born on September 25, 1961, in Westwood, California. She gained prominence for her roles in the TV series "Dynasty" and "Melrose Place," establishing herself as one of the biggest TV stars of the 1980s and 1990s.

Locklear began her acting career in the late 1970s and early 1980s, appearing in television shows such as "T.J. Hooker" and "Cagney & Lacey." Her breakthrough role came in 1981 when she joined the cast of the prime-time soap opera "Dynasty" as Sammy Jo Carrington. Locklear's portrayal of the manipulative and ambitious character made her a household name.

In 1993, Locklear left "Dynasty" to star in the spin-off series "Melrose Place." She played the role of Amanda Woodward, a ruthless businesswoman and manipulative character, for six seasons. "Melrose Place" became a huge hit, further solidifying Locklear's status as a television icon.

Throughout her career, Locklear has received numerous nominations and accolades for her work. She has been nominated for four Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy Award. In 2005, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
